Refund Policy

At PetPals, our ultimate mission is the happiness and safety of our rescue animals and adopting families. Because we are a non-profit foundation, adoption fees are directly used to cover pet veterinary surgeries, boarding, behavioral training, and medication costs.

1. Application Review Fees

Any fees for background screening, application processing, or landlord checks are non-refundable. These fees are used directly for processing and checks.

2. Adoption Fees Trial Period

We offer a 30-day Adjustment Trial Period starting the day you bring your adopted pet home. During this window:

• If the adoption is not a perfect match despite our coaching support, you may return the pet safely to our facility.
• We will fully refund the Adoption Fee (excluding transportation costs).
• Refunds will be sent back to your original payment card within 7 to 14 business days.

3. Exclusions Beyond 30 Days

Once the initial 30-day adjustment period ends, adoption fees are non-refundable. While PetPals will always welcome the pet back into our shelter program at any stage of their life, we cannot offer a refund after the 30-day trial period.
