Adoption Support

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about fees, vaccines, bringing puppies home, and refunds? We've listed our answers here.

The process is simple and friendly to make sure it is a great fit. First, browse available pets online or contact us to schedule a visit. Once you send us a message, our team will chat with you about your home and lifestyle. If it is a good match, we will arrange a meet-and-greet, sign a standard agreement, and help you take your new family member home!
Adoption fees range from $150 to $2,500 depending on the age, breed, and medical needs of the puppy. 100% of this fee goes directly to help our rescue pets. It covers a vet checkup, spaying or neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, behavior assessments, and starter food and supplies.
We want every adoption to be a success, but we understand things can change. PetPals offers a 30-day adjustment period with friendly coaching. If it is truly not a good fit, we will welcome the pet back into our shelter program without any judgment, and help find a more compatible home.
Yes, we help with adoptions across the country. We work with safe, professional pet travel services to deliver adopted companions. Long-distance adopters go through the same friendly online video chat visit and consultation as local families.
There are so many wonderful ways to help! You can apply to foster an animal, volunteer at the shelter, donate supplies, sponsor a pet's medical costs, or make a tax-deductible donation.
